Update on Funding Criteria

We really appreciate the feedback we receive from applicants and beneficiaries of awards so that we can develop and better respond to the needs of the groups and charities we support.  

Following this feedback, we have reviewed our qualifying criteria and made the changes detailed below:

  • We will now welcome applications from constituted not-for-profit groups and charities with an income of less than £125,000 (previous income cap was £100,000).
  • We have also changed the rule on those applicants that have previously been unsuccessful. If you applied to the Trust in 2020 and were unsuccessful, as long as you have an annual income of less than £125,000 and your funding purpose meets one of our 5 qualifying criteria, a further application for the same purpose will be considered in 2021.
  • Recognising the positive impact community interest companies (CICs) have in supporting and building sustainable communities, we will now consider applications from CICs.   The same qualifying criteria applies to applications from CICs.

We are accepting applications for our next round of awards. Our online application is open until 5.00pm on Friday 26th February 2021. We aim to advise of the outcome by end May 2021.
